Salvation Sermon Outlines

Title: "The Gift of Salvation: God's Love and Grace"

Introduction:

I. The Lostness of Humanity

A. Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

B. Ephesians 2:1 - "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins."

C. Acknowledge humanity's need for salvation due to sin and separation from God.

II. God's Plan of Redemption

A. John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

B. Titus 2:11 - "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people."

C. Share the message of God's love and grace, manifested through Jesus' sacrificial death for our salvation.

III. The Role of Faith in Salvation

A. Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

B. Romans 10:9 - "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

C. Emphasize the significance of faith in accepting God's gift of salvation.

IV. Repentance and Forgiveness

A. Acts 3:19 - "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."

B. 1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

C. Encourage the congregation to embrace repentance and receive God's forgiveness through Christ.

V. Assurance of Salvation

A. Romans 10:13 - "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

B. 1 John 5:13 - "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

C. Offer assurance and confidence in God's promise of salvation for those who put their trust in Jesus.

VI. A Life Transformed by Salvation

A. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

B. Galatians 2:20 - "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

C. Encourage the congregation to live out their salvation through a transformed life in Christ.

Conclusion:

Recap the significance of God's gift of salvation and His desire to reconcile humanity to Himself.

Extend an invitation for anyone who has not yet received God's gift of salvation to respond in faith.
